Blair did not put transitional arrangements in place which would’ve prevented newly joined EU members access to FOM in U.K.

That was a failure of domestic policy not EU rules.

Its worth pointing out unemployment was low during that period and there was decent growth - so, the U.K. benefitted from EU workers
