I'd see no reason not to advise someone to behave charitably, not to commit murder, etc.
You understand this is not a 5 page book - there is a bit more substance to it than that.

I don't doubt that there is good advice in it.
A friend of my youth was a catholic. He was seen as a candidate as a priest so received a lot of bible teaching. His opinion is that lots can be quoted from it to illustrate some point but there is always another part that can be found to point something else out. Often the opposite.

I've seen him in action when there is some one walking about quoting the bible to people if they will listen. Tears may result.

I sort religion via a well fit young lady I met who was religious

Gave up on it after a couple of weeks never did get my leg over :cry::giggle::giggle:
