I do love the fact that somehow a book that was edited and collated over a huge period of time, the new testament only receiving its final version in 405AD can somehow be abusive today. The bible is not a book, its a collection of books and what goes in or stayed out of the final version of the Hebrew Bible was fought and debated over for centuries, finally getting approval in the 11th century AD or CE. Apparently the row of what was considered a divine scripture, ie coming from God was an absolute bloodbath in both camps.
This idea that somehow the new testament is abusive to the Jewish faith is a thoroughly modern invention only postulated after the Holocaust. Its not fact, its another interpretation...and there is the issue. The bible's of all faiths are just interpretations of what should or should not be included and as each branch of Judaism / Christianity ( catholic, orthodox, protestant) had its own agenda -basically we are the one true faith, why is anybody surprised that the lens of what was included or not would include books or scriptures to to suggest that that branch of faith is the best or only true faith?
If you have a quick look at the Hebrew bible you will note that in Judaism, Jesus is is not the Son of God, as their can on be one God or in other words Christianity is a sin, as it involves the praying to a living person, idolatry...Just how abusive is that to Christians, your entire faith is built on a liars word... but you know what we all rub along...
