Does the documentation / manual specify the class of laser used ?
Things that must be dealt with.
(1) shielding and / or interlocks to prevent any laser light leaving the machine. ( but still wear suitable googles )
(2) safe removal of fumes created by the material being cut. ( these can be toxic / inflamable / corrosive )

Well - what could possibly go wrong with, or be dangerous about, a cheap 40W laser engraver? The laser is cooled by clean water that runs through the tube i think. There is small water pump with the machine
I see what you mean there, i think it must mean operating. There seems to be lots of youtube vids on this machine so ill double check the instructions with other users hopefully. Not sure about it having a flo sensor but i dont like the sound of things overheating, ill look into this. The Attention item 1 suggests one has to check the water is flowing before opening ( operating ? ) the machine. This could mean there is no flow sensor to remove power to the laser emitter should the water flow cease. It is the water flow that cools the laser emitter and without water flow the emitter will quickly overheat and if not destroyed will be seriously degraded.

Only a BS number (BS1363) as they are built to a British Standard, not an EN standard. That is a good thing to look out for on a plugtop when portable appliance testing, if it is a regular BS1363 plug with an EN number or a CE marking it is likely counterfeit.Don't plugs have to have a BS (EN?) number and be tested too?
