But Israel has practically wiped Palestine off the map. Hamas wanting to do the same is unsurprising. With that said, it wasn't always like this - Hamas for example were open to the prospect of a two state soltuion only 4 years ago. These are dynamic situations and sentiments are in continual flux.

Also, reducing a complex issue like this down to a mission statement of Hamas is highly reductive - You should ditch the tribalisms - not a good look.
