Why are the palastines/hamas so reliant on Israel ?
It is clear they hate everything about Israel and vow to kill all of them. But everything they seem to rely on is provided by Israel, food, water, fuel, electricity. Why weren't they buying all this stuff from countries they are friendly with ?
And is the Gaza strip doomed anyway? population up 200,000 in the last five years and now rising 60,000 a year. They're packed in like Londoners and its getting worse, how can they ever be a self sufficient nation? They seem to sell stone to Israel, but is that really enough to fund their existence ?
The whole thing is a bit of a mystery.

All this stuff about 'god' never ceases to amaze me. Groups of people all praying to and doing stuff in the name of their interpretation of god. All these different gods, do they all exist? Who says one god is more valid than another?
Since year dot humankind has done, and continues to do, horrendous stuff to each other often in the name of god. Or, even if not in the name of god, leaders will still go to church whilst simultaneously overseeing the death of others.
And I already said where's the payoff for worshipping these gods? Seems a one sided affair to me. Oh yeah that's right, we have free will. So, given we're evidently not capable of world peace, why bother with the god stuff if these almighty entities don't intervene now and again?
God ... whatever.

I take no pride in saying this, I suspect the UK will be a completely different type of place to live 50+ years from now. Depending on the view of the individual these changes will be viewed as positive or negative.
We'll all be proverbial 6 feet under, it'll be up to the younger generations to deal with.

There is no mystery. The palestinians are supported by the 1 billion Muslims. The israelis are supported by the 1 billion nato minus turkey. Unfortunately, nato is pinned down by the russians. On balance, the palestinians have the upper hand, geostrategically. That is before a 3rd front to be opened up by the 1.4 billion chinese in asia. Who is to say there won't be 4th and 5th fronts? The latin americans might want a piece of the action. The empire has p*ssed too many people off. The moment people sense weakness, they will all join in for the fun.
