Nobody is trying to stifle criticism of a political movement. The law rightly exists to stop people stirring hatred towards a race or religion. The above is an excellent example.

Israel is neither a race nor a religion.
It can be a nationality. But criticising Israel is very clearly criticising the actions, policies and beliefs of its government, not its people, unless those specific people are the ones that constitute the government.
One cannot be racist about a government. Governments come and go.

He could criticise the actions, beliefs and policies of Islam. As long as it is genuinely the policies, actions or beliefs of Islam, and not some made up or imaginary aspect of Islam. I doubt very much if transam understands Islam sufficiently to make that distinction.

It is clear to me that Israel’s real policy is to eliminate Palestinians completely and make the West Bank and Gaza all part of Israel for Israelis.

That is part of the Zionists ambition. Their ambition relates to the whole of the Levant.
The Levant includes Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
Once Israel takes territory in any of those countries, it has demonstrated in the past that it will not relinquish that territory, despite UN Resolutions to do so.

Irrelevant post John. The law doesn't relate when the basics are considered which come down to freedom of speech.

There is another basic as well. Refugee camps. The things that are attacked by Israel over and over again. Who are the people in these? Essentially people who have been moved by previous land grabs and fighting. Root reason land grabs.
