Hi there,
Wondering if anyone has any advice for me. A few months ago i moved into a property with Dimplex Quantum storage heaters. They are new and were installed before i moved in.
I then had a 2 month struggle with the energy company to get the meter reconfigured to support economy 7. As the heaters have a dual connection and don't work without off peak energy i have only just been able to start using them now that the E7 has been sorted out.
However 1 of them trips the "hallway off peak" switch the fuse box - i have an electrician coming to look at it on monday.
The other (the living room one that i really need to be working now) does appear to work. The off peak energy begins at 23.30pm and at 23.32 pm the neon light on the off peak switch next to the heater lights up indicating their is off peak available. This is when id assume.the heater would begin charging overnight. However at midnight the neon light on the off peak switch just goes off again and th heater has never heated up. The heater seems to be set up correctly and is supppsed to detect when off peak is available to charge without the need for a timer. So i am really not sure what is going on. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the off peak supply and i need to.go back to the energy supplier or a problem.with the heater itself.
If anyone has any ideas i would be truly grateful
