I played back the original on windows media player - then recorded me playing to it with the webcam - then (clumsily) edited it with Windows Movie Maker.

You can adjust your webcam so you can only see yourself neck down. Are you that hideous you have to hide?
Now sit in front of your webcam showing yourself neck down and let's see how good you are. If you won't do it - then I guess you are just another fraud.

Joe, I can only add to what others have said - my opinion of you has just changed entirely.
When someone posts as controversially as you do, I think it actually makes it harder to picture the real person doing the typing - but now we have, and we've seen the real talent.
If I was going to be really picky, I'd have to say your vocals aren't all that - but we all know that's not the real skill you're trying to display. On the guitars - both electric and acoustic - I'm seriously impressed.
Me, I don't play an instrument at all, but I do sing - when I get the chance I'll record something for you all - it's just a case of being downstairs in the bar before it's open so I can record it without drowning background noise.

Thanks folks. As you've obviously noted I'm a guitar player that tries to sing rather than a singer that plays guitar. With a bit of practice my vocals will improve. I expected lots of abuse considering that I copped abuse before I posted the clips, but it's not been as bad as I thought it would be, in fact most of the posts have been positive. I expected it from esra/mega but he hasn't got the balls to compete so what else can he do? Thanks once again.

Yes you are absolutely brilliant so sit in front of your webcam and give us more. That's the name of the challenge. As Tim has said it's a far different world to play into an 8 track than to sit in front of a webcam with just a guitar. You don't need to include a face shot so you have no excuse.
When we all see how wonderful you are you will earn the right to say that I'm rubbish - and I'll certainly agree with you - but until that time it just looks like sour grapes. Come on it's just a bit of fun, I'm a builder not a pro entertainer.
