Joe-90 on Utube?

Thats my point, if you were whisked off into a recording studio now and then posted the end result ther'd be no comparison with what you've posted so far, so I can appreciate those recordings you've done more so.
There isn't a piece of technology on the planet that could correct Joe's vocal, it's f***ing painful.

As he's pointed pointed out, it ain't easy to sound good when it's just you, a guitar and a webcam.

Thing is though, the only people who would sound good in this environment as those with real talent.

This is all very British "it's the taking part that counts" but the fact is it's some sill tw@t sat in front of a webcam making a racket.

And, before Joe invites me to do the same, I cannot sing or play the guitar so there would be no point.

At least I'm self aware though

Eh esra/mega. Considering your favorite ever song was by Chris De Burgh - I'm not at all offended by your opinion on what is good taste in music.

Having the gonads to post that racket I doubt anything could offend you

Megs favourite ain't cdb btw he's a dire straits freak, it's taken him pretty much all the time I've known him to learn the leads and he still can't play them properly

You said the other week that your favourite song of all time was a CDB song. It was in megas leaving epic.

Well for me joe i still think you need to stich back in yea teeth but your welcome to sing around are camp fire anyday.

Re is this love.. I havent read all the posts yet but I was getting a little bored with it until the solo kicked in ! so a pleasent surprise well done Joe and i will give it foiive

I'm going to have to join in with the throng taking their hat off to Joe - I'd love to be able to pick up a guitar and play/sing like that.

And you had the balls to stick it up there. Not easy for anyone, but almost unheard of when you are a controversial character like you are. Proves you are a real, proper, grown-up, and not the usual stereotype that people would have of posters like you. You definitely won the battle hands down with esra's, ahem, Brother In-Law.

I'm impressed with the playing anyway, but the video does make me respect you a lot more (even if I usually disagree with you).

Wahey Joe, respec arrrrrite?!

Hats off to you mate for having the balls to do both of those. Funny though, isn't it, how the mental picture one forms of someone, based wholly on their written stylee can be so far wide of the mark!

Now, to add another 100% to my in-aweness level, can you do Hotel California? Just the geetar would be fine - if you can do the instrumental bit, I will be mega, mega, mega impressed (pardon the pun :) )

I knew someone would ask that. If not Hotel California then Steely Dan's Kid Charlemagne (Larry Carlton solo).

It's not that easy for a few reasons.

1) The Eagles are a big talented band and I'm just talentless me.

2) The end solo is a twin lead affair (Felder and Walsh) and I'm just talentless me.

3) Both solo's are technically difficult and there is no backing so it would sound pretty naff.

Even the intro is twin guitar.

So I'll think about it and see what I can come up with.

I played back the original on windows media player - then recorded me playing to it with the webcam - then (clumsily) edited it with Windows Movie Maker.
Cool, I only just noticed it to be honest and I've never messed around with video editing / movie making s/w so don't know what's involved. I take it my request,
can I request "....Baby One More Time", on acoustic, in a Darius Danesh stylee?
isn't your cup of tea

Never mind, . As everyone has said Joe, muchos respect, takes big cojones to put those up there.

Ive watched it again  its geting better :D you have more geetas than Van morrison has hats

BTW take a bow next time ;)

Joe, congrats on putting up your post for our viewing, it shows great strength of character to leave yourself open for ridicule from the likes of megaptrap or whoever.

Keep it going mate

I did, and it is and as soon as you realise that I ain't MW the posts may make more sense.

Despite how many times you post it, it is no more true than the first time you posted it.

You are a creature of habit though so, if it makes you happy, be my guest

Perhaps you should try for "Britain's got talent" you should fit in well there ;)
