It says that ALL THE WAY only receives the topping in black- What is ALL THE WAY? It is not mentioned in the menu. And I don't understand why it says that all toppings are free, bar the ones in red.

You can have a load of onions etc, like a **** load.
On the odd occasion that I go to McDs, out of spite I order extra ketchup, extra mustard, extra gherkins, extra onions- why? because it is free and it forces then to cook my burger on demand- regardless, by the time that they hand it to me, the burger is cold.
Probably cold because some of those extra toppings are themselves really cold. It is was much better ten plus years ago when they slid the burgers onto the warmer chute thing behind the counter for a couple of minutes.
I always get a 1/4llb burger if I go to Mcd’s. They don’t have them sat around.
I might try a load of extras for a laugh next time though.
For me Burger King XL bacon double cheeseburger, is the best outside of the USA
I remember going in the late 80’s as a proper treat. The food was actually good then.
Chequers in Orlando is the best cheap burger place for me.
The way they make them seems to have changed. Under the old system, you used to get a warm but sometimes slightly dried out burger. And it was pretty instant. Now you seem to have to wait a few minutes get a cold burger where the cheese isn't even melted. I believe it's because the menu has become too big. But they seem more popular than ever!
If I get a Mcd’s at home I microwave the burger and it’s a lot better. I know I shouldn’t have to.
There’s a bloke on YouTube- Beard meets food. He does food challenges all over the world. It never makes me hungry watching it though.

I've actually seen Beard meets food a few times. For some reason it just popped up on YT. I like him, but I have found I have an issue with competitive eating.
If you watch the film The Founder, it seems McDs are almost back where we started. A menu that is too big, so you have to wait for cold food. The whole idea of the original system was a limited menu so you instantly got hot food.
I liked that film.
You’re right though, simple is better. Gordon Ramsay always reduces the menu items significantly when he does a restaurant overhaul.
Exactly!! We got our lads one drink, they took it in turns to get what they wanted.
We are hoping to go back next year.
