2008 - 570 billion
209 - 631 billion
2010 - 654 billion
2011 - 690 billion
2012 - 703 billion (projected)

Facts are a pain in the bum are they not?

Do you know the difference between public spending and government cuts, I dont think you do.
We are talking about cuts that the government are making....so stop posting a link to a website that gives figures of public spending

270,000 public sector staff lost their jobs in 2011 alone! Not sure where you got your info stating cuts wouldn't start till 2012?

Do you know the difference between public spending and government cuts, I dont think you do.

Why don't you explain it to us.

Please explain how the government is cutting spending, but at the same time spending more each year.

I'm providing stats with proven sources and explanations.

You post one liner semi insults and no sources.

Who do you think looks more credible here?

We are talking about cuts that the government are making....so stop posting a link to a website that gives figures of public spending

Even in good times individual departments will see cuts, as budgets are shifted about and functions moved about.

You seem to want to stick your head in the sand about overall spending going up, and instead focus on individual cuts to departments.

270,000 public sector staff lost their jobs in 2011 alone!

There was a 20% increase in public sector staff 2000ish to 2011, did the population increase by 20%, did services improve by 20%.

Not sure where you got your info stating cuts wouldn't start till 2012?

HAHAHHA

The government itself you silly person, as I linked to you.

And it's only "cuts" in the sense spending will slow down, "hopefully" less than inflation and growth.

And all this ignores the basic point, we are running a 10% deficit, this is a massive "stimulus".

And you are arguing we have cut "to deep to fast", wowzers.

They are spending more on borrowing.......I have not said once they are making cuts on spending. I said, if you read all of my posts, they are making cuts....services, jobs etc....I did not say cuts on spending!

If you think this coalition have not made any cuts, then you are more deluded than I though.

Even in good times individual departments will see cuts, as budgets are shifted about and functions moved about.

You seem to want to stick your head in the sand about overall spending going up, and instead focus on individual cuts to departments

They dont see cuts of over a quarter of a million staff in 12 months alone. This year 4200 military redundancies alone....towards 2015 17'000 military staff under the Strategic Defence and Security Review will lose their jobs.

These sorts of figures are not due to reorganisations and budget shifting...they are massive cuts, which I have been talking about...not public spending.

HAHAHHA

The government itself you silly person, as I linked to you.

So explain to me why 1/4 million public sector workers have lost their jobs, 4200 military personnel lost their jobs, How many police officers have lost their jobs, Unemployment now at its highest since 1995.

How many projects have been scrapped since the coalition came in, hundreds and hundreds that would have created job and kept jobs. These are cuts.....they have started already.

Thats why Osbournes plans have not worked, hes borrowing more, and still making these cuts at the same time  The man that Cameron called a 'financial genius' is now a laughing stock

Only a complete idiot would vote labour.
If you can't see why - then that is because you are a complete idiot.
Then I spent 30 years as a complete idiot  Now I`m only a partial idiot  I`m still as red as Red Ken`s red bits - and he lost  . I now think they are all as bad as each other

The country isn't governed by the UK its done by Europe. Immigration is killing the country putting Brits out of work and turning cities into shanty towns. It won't stop until we have that revolution - Vive le revolution.

I`m still as red as Red Ken`s red bits - and he lost  .

I don't understand why anyone who is socialist would vote labour.

They are a bunch of rich tax avoiding millionaire private educated toffs that care nothing of socialism, socialism to them is nothing but a tool to buy votes, just like welfare is about keeping people in the benefit trap as captive voters, rather than as a safety net.

Do you mean they are spending more on debt interest?

If so, that's simply false, if not, you make no sense. If you reverse any of the cut's, it will be funded by borrowing, something you criticize.

this "they are spending more on borrowing" is non-sense.

they are making cuts....services, jobs etc....I did not say cuts on spending!

You blame the bad economy on cuts = but overall spending has increased.

You can't see the illogical inconsistency of your position?

If you think this coalition have not made any cuts, then you are more deluded than I though.

I have said they have made cuts to individual departments, not to overall spending.

Please don't call me deluded because you fail at reading comprehension.

They don't see cuts of over a quarter of a million staff in 12 months alone.

We either need the public servants or we don't, I don't think we need over 6 million public servants, 250k doesn't go far enough, get rid of more please.

The extra taxes that have been imposed to pay for these people is what is stifling the economy.

This year 4200 military redundancies alone....towards 2015 17'000 military staff under the Strategic Defence and Security Review will lose their jobs.

I fundamentally do not agree with the defence cuts, but this is peanuts, it's not even 1% of the deficit, let alone the economy.

It's a huge mistake, but has nothing to do with the subject at hand.

How many projects have been scrapped since the coalition came in

Remarkable isn't it.

They have "cut and slashed" as you say, yet we are still running a 10% deficit, only 1% of which is due to a fall in taxes.

Which just goes to show just how utterly out of control labours spending was, and the Tories still is.

Thats why Osbournes plans have not worked, hes borrowing more, and still making these cuts at the same time  The man that Cameron called a 'financial genius' is now a laughing stock

Yes, he is a bit of an idiot.

But he's just the opposite side of the coin of labour, which is why I despise both of them.
