Rubbish, social services, the council, the police and indeed whoever was director of public prosecutions at the time were and are all culpable.

How dare you blame 'us', friends family and neighbours did voice concerns, those concerns were ignored.

Top of any such list should be the parents, obviously excluding those children who were in care.

It always makes me laugh when the list of people to blame is discussed and 'the parents' often come further down the list.

I think on balance we were right to retake the islands, enough time has passed to do a sensible sale and leaseback deal with Arentina, with re patriation rights for the islanders who wish to leave.. It wont happen because the islands are a reminder that we were once an empire, and give hope to those who still think we are.

Nothing to do with the saddos who don't understand that britain was never great...

It's about the resources that abound in the seas off the shores of the malvinas islands...

Back in the seventies there were the cod wars with Iceland that ended with the UK disputing but having to agree to a 200 mile exclusive fishing zone...

Funnily enough the UK used the same tactic for a total exclusion zone around the malvinas islands...
