Lazy, Selfish Bastards

It's ours! I bought an extra wheelie bin from the council for £60.

It might have the council logo in it, but it'll go with us if we move.
I think you will find that what you paid was actually the admin and delivery fee for it. (although it's quite a high fee).
Wheelie bins cost 3 times what you paid.
It will still be the councils bin and if it's on the public highway then the public will use it if they are trying to keep the place free from crap
and the council will be OK with that as it saves them fitting and emptying a smaller public bin.

Look up wheelie bin prices on Amazon.

Also, when I ordered and paid for my bin over the phone, I checked that I would own it outright. The answer was yes.

The bin belongs to the council, but that does not create a public right to use it. It is supplied for the exclusive use of the resident. I didn't know you could buy your own cheaper than the "admin fee". of course if an incorrectly informed council worker stated that it is owned by the resident, then in this instance a different contract exists.

Do you have to have a child with you? What age? Damn, I thought it was parking space rewarding those that have children. I have two, they're in their 30’s and I’ll always be a parent and they’ll always be my children……

I've never used the bays when I take my Dad out.
The bays are there for child safety my 10 & 12 year old their safety is still something I care about (funny enough)

Have you ever parked on a yellow line.

Picking up my girls after dance or drama can also be difficult so waiting on a double yellow is sometimes the only option if I want to see them safely into their classes and safely out

Or for the neighbours who put their bins out the night before knowing there will be a big wind overnight.
Yeah, those people who put their bins out for collection without consulting the local weather reports - fine them! :)

If the forecast is high winds the put you bins out in the morning.
It's not full proof neither is it hard.

Yes, I know. But not everybody watches weather forecasts, and not everybody is home in the morning to put the bins out.
Maybe the council should provide bins that don't blow over with a slight breeze.

Here's an odd one, one of my neighbours started hanging his poo bags on a friends tree (his friends too) until he was caught, same fella never puts his bins out, he takes all his rubbish/recycling to the local tip in his car

Sounds like your "one for the village".

We have bin bags round our way. If you put them out the night before, the foxes or the crows would have ripped them apart and scattered them before the bin men come round.

Maybe your local authority should provide armed guards ‍♂️ to protect against these selfish foxes.
