Le Penn

Plenty more like this of how the students were going to come to the rescue.

That's why they published their carefully worked out manifesto before the election, with costings, defining their commitments. When you read the Student Loans section, what did it say? I know you've seen it, because I posted a copy for you and offered to pay £5 to a charity if it said what you falsely claimed. My £5 is safe. Being educated people, I expect they will have the good sense to read the manifesto, rather than making up nonsense or believing the Daily Fail, like you.

I am pleased to see that the only example you have found does not say what you claim.

... all the under 18's that were ineligible to vote on Brexit and were bitter at the result as it would affect their futures would be voting in vast numbers to oust the Tories in the upcoming GE....

are you in a position to claim the £5 I offered to charity?

No, you aren't.

Blimey le Penn wants to take France out of nato

( similar to corbyn ?)

Is that what the 'experts' are saying? I seem to remember a few on here saying that all the under 18's that were ineligible to vote on Brexit and were bitter at the result as it would affect their futures would be voting in vast numbers to oust the Tories in the upcoming GE as they were now of an age to vote. Result: one of the biggest landslide victories for the Tories! I T hink it was just wishful thinking on their behalf.
Those were the 1st round results. Next round in Penn against Marcon. Their 2 conventional left and right parties similar to ours hardly got any votes.

Yes, that's right. Voters are sick of the two-party system. Voters are sick of voting...I don't know what the turnout in France is, but it will be well below 50%. The smart people know that voting does no good; it's a charade; the same monoparty gets in every time but under a different name.

Yes, that's right.

:) It's been noted that right wing political propaganda makes up about 80% of the political content of various mass media sources. It seems to be the best tool they have for getting votes and always of the popularist type meaning that things ain't that simple really but sound good to thicko's.

Maybe the 'thicko's' aren't quite as thick as you think, maybe bleeding heart liberals and hard left remainer types are too thick to realise that.
80% of media is right wing?, what utter, utter, utter, utter b******s. I'd estimate the percentage is almost the reverse but here's the thing, bleeding heart liberals and hard left remainers are far too arrogant and up their own @RSE to accept that there are a majority who simply disagree with with them.
If a politician comes up with policies that are popular and therefore a vote winner but goes against the grain of the snivelling lefties it's denigrated as 'popularism'.

Here's the thing John, you can howl at the moon as much as you want that it's not fair that:

1. We only lost the referendum because children couldn't vote and the people who voted differently to you are 'thickos'.
2. We only lost the election because the leader is a popularist which is unfair because he's promising things people are prepared to vote for.
3. It's unfair because 80% of the press are right wing (daily mail & Express) whereas The Guardian, The BBC, The Times, The Independent, BBC, Sky news in fact the vast majority of mainstream media are left leaning but simply don't represent the majority.

Maybe John, you just need to grow the **** up and accept that electorally and in other matters dear to your heart you are, unfortunately for you, in the minority.

In a nutshell, you ******* lost, if I were in your position, I'd have the good grace to accept it and not blame it on the winners being 'thickos', it's not a good look.

Throw Trump in as well. Odd that people aren't aware of that. He just had to say what a good idea, best of luck to them.

@gone I wasn't even referring to brexit so your post is a waste of time - for me anyway. I would add one aspect to that - the out vote age profile. It suggests that a lot went the brexit way because they thought the EU was the cause of a number of changes in the UK. Bullshit really. There are reasons but the EU is not one of them Then comes certain immigration aspects and nationalism. Both popularist aspects. LOL Take Farage out of the equation and we would still be in. A margin of 1.6% isn't much at all.

Anyway many many countries can look forwards to more extreme politics over time as none seem to be able to get votes along with a mixed idea of the rights and wrongs. Left and right ideas on the basis of the best ones to use. Macron puts himself over as a social democrat. Maybe he is or he isn't. Generally that sort of approach doesn't work. It was very very new in France when he popped up. Parties here have tried that route in the past but it hasn't worked. Usually formed by people from both left and right.
