Exactly. The Idris Bond roll model will have to be shown actually doing a 9-5 job, no fighting, no killing, no stealing an Aston, no driving fast and smashing other cars, no intimidating and threatening people at the club, no using others credit cards, no stealing clothes from the shops.

Idris Elba - too old and too soft. Plus his acting is not up to scratch. Maybe black slightly geeky supervillain? Tom Hardy would be good and I like the Ryan Reynolds suggestion assuming he could pull off the accent. No doubt the franchise PR machine is using Storm before calm tactics (here are all the terrible ideas, so that you are relieved with what we come up with).

Have you seen him as Stringer Bell? He's only improved since then. But he is 49, which is too old.

Ryan Reynolds would be a brave, and probably awful, choice. He would drag it back to the Roger Moore sillyness. Im a big fan of his but I don't think he's got the serious acting experience. He and Tom Haryare both 44, which is probably still too old.
