i recently bought a bosch mini angle grinder yes its only 3" but will happily cut whatever you throw at it up to around 15mm thick
it performs in a similar manner to my 10 year old 18v dewalt but there again its brushless and only 10.8v
i have also recently invested in a 18v dewalt [dcs365]slider and it will do 90% off the capacity off the mains 712 slider i also have
i also dabbled in a 18/54v flexivolt table saw[dcs745] and again it performs excellently against my old mains dw742
so old and new battery will equal mains indeed some dewalt tools use 2x54v batteries and have mains and 110v adapters that clip on the battery terminals
