If he follows through on his policies he will be bad for the US economically in the short term. Long term is also probably bad but no one really believes he'll do as he promised and expel 15 million people.
I've been wondering why Musk backs him. So why does he?

Musk hates regulation and government oversight. You saw that during COVID where California rules required his factories to shut down. You also see it with SpaceX where they push back hard on regulations (justifiably in many cases). He was left leaning because they were more supportive of EVs, but otherwise he has always been happier with small-government extreme capitalism models.
He also had a bit of a meltdown because of his Trans daughter. That was probably the trigger for him going political and buying Twitter.

Trump is a crook and his hangers on think they can turn that to their advantage. Musk obviously wants more of the space programme or relaxed Twitter laws, or both.

Oh well the parochial american male wins again. They were never going to allow a woman to control america especially a woman such as Kamala. To be fair neither biden nor harris did the republicans any favours. Trump did not make america great at any time during his last tenure and I cannot see him doing anything different this time round. If he acts on his rethorical speeches the whole world is in serious danger. I cannot wait to see what putin. the little fat fella, netanyahu (however it's spelt), iran and zelenksky say when he makes those various phone calls. Batten down the hatches people and if you have fallout shelters make sure they are well stocked although they will not save you. Good luck everybody.
