A person born as a male, who transitions to become a woman, is now authorised to forcibly strip search a female.

Thank **** for that.

Think about that for just one second. Some people who have fully transitioned are indistinguishable from someone with that as their birth gender. The person being strip searched hasn't checked someone's birth certificate, they just have appearance.

Otherwise you as a man might find yourself being strip searched by a woman. Or you as a woman might be being strip searched by a man with a full face beard.

Also, your title is wrong. If you've transitioned you're the target gender.

Nope I used the correct terms.

Male / Female = Sex
Man / woman = used to mean sex.

It of course has nothing to do with appearance.

So to correct your statement

Is what this policy allows.

Sure, let's play along. You over corrected even by your own standards. The police don't check your birth Gender before searching you and will work on Man/Woman etc.

You want to go back to allowing Women or (the majority of) female(s)to be searched by a man with a full face beard. Why?

The policy allows
Women or (the majority of) female(s)to be searched by a man biological male with a full face beard.
Is it clear in your head yet?

A male who identifies as a man joins the British Transport Police, they can only intimate search Males.
They transition from being a man to woman.
They are recognised and update their documents
Sec 7 of the policy says they are to be recognised as their acquired sex.

A biological male (with or without a beard) can now strip search a biological female.
A biological female (with or without a beard) can now strip search a biological male.

That doesn't invalidate my point at all.

You want to make this simple: they want to let males search women! But it isn't simple and pretending it is simple and taking your approach ends up in exactly the same situation as far as the person being searched sees it. They don't see male/female, they see man/woman.

Not sure why strip searches are necessary nowadays...

Surely it would be easier to simply install airport type scanners to simply require a walk through?

Your point wasn't valid to start with.

The solution is simple.
- seek consent from the detained person, where the sex has been legally changed by either the person conducting the search or the person being searched. Sure people will abuse it, but they do anyway.

"I do not consent to be searched by a man as I am a trans woman"
"I do not consent for that trans woman to search me, I am female"

No misgendering, no trans people harmed.

You're the supposed legal eagle, but omitting the actual details.

Also,

“A male who is issued with a GRC stating that they are a female is to be considered a female. Any female searched by that officer is, for the purposes of PACE and UK legislation, being searched by a female officer.”

How many police does this affect? How many cases have happened or are expected to ?

That's utterly ridiculous.

So its ok if its only a few women searched by males?

I've not omitted the details, I provided the policy and a link to the arguments along with a link to the judicial review application.
