I've got a a concrete kitchen floor which appears to be very moist where I've dug it up - see pics. I have two gulleys into which rainwater and kitchen/bathroom water drain into.

I need to get a drain survey but I can't locate a manhole on my property via which the camera can be fed through? Outside on the drive are the following two grids - the small one is the water main (when I lift it up it's full of water, can't even see the stop tap - is it normal for it to be full of water). Can anyone identify what the larger grid is?

How can I get a drain survey done if there is no manhole access on the property?

You kindly ask whichever neighbour has the nearest inspection chamber if you can use it for the survey.

Cameras do not have the facility of choosing direction so there is no guarantee that when the camera is fed through that it will feed into the drains on my property?

My guess is that it may very well have been built over with those floor block pavers!!!

A proper drain survey should include the sections of pipe that cross the boundary, so access is gained from neighbouring property if need be.

Going by what I can see, looks a typical 1940/50's setup with soil pipe and wastes into a Hopper, I'd hazard a guess, the drainage goes straight out to the road. Often either a Manhole or Interceptor near the boundary, prior to the house drains joining the main sewer in the road.

Check your driveway, (including underneath the car), is there an inset cover, anywhere near the boundary? It may be block paved to match the rest, so all you'll see is the outline of the cover and frame.

Its a 1925 built semi. Bathtub and bathroom sink waste goes into hopper which is on the second to last down pipe from the left. The soil stack is on it's own with no other pipes connected to it. The driveway is fully blockpaved so no visisble signs of manhole unbless i try getting them all out which is far bigger job than cutting a hole in soil stack or maybe feeding the camera from opening at top of the soil stack. but then again the camera might follow to the front of the property when fed through instead going to the back near the kitchen where I need to check the drain more specifically.

Drill into the pipe, ask them to try and get the distance to the chamber that's very likely to be under your block paving. Then you could find it and de-cowboy it with an access lid for future issues.
