Mask exemptions.

You might call yourself an a-hole: I couldn't possibly comment!:D. Are you though, in the, "Pull yourself together!" camp when it comes to mental illness; or do you feel autism is just naughtiness? OK to have such views, but they are not generally supported by medics.

you are correct, my wife suffers depression on and off has done before we were even together (before anybody says it's cos she's married to me) and tbh i genuinely don't get it. i am sympathetic and i am conscious i don't understand it, so i do compel myself not to be the idiot who says "pull yourself together" but i must admit i do think it sometimes, and i do think its attention seeking at times, however i also know this is wrong.

regards to autism etc, its such a wide spectrum, and my personal preference is not to pass judgement on anyone as i am fully aware of what's seen on the outside isn't necessarily what's happening on the inside.

regarding the masks, i understand people with autism will find it a real struggle and some people just physically cant, but i would wager that 98% of the population wearing a mask doesn't really affect them.

maybe your’e the **** for wearing one.
My point is evidently going over your head.

There is a difference between taking or not taking an action that only has the potential to harm yourself versus potentially harming others. Whether covid is or isn't real, whether masks do or don't significantly reduce transmission rates is almost irrelevant in the context of my point.

I'll go back to the smoking analogy. You want to sit in a room on your own and smoke? Bash on. You're only potentially harming yourself. You want to sit in a room that I'm in and smoke, even though you might believe no harm can come to me? Eh, no.

and with people who test positive after not even turning up for tests or running the swab under a tap. farcical isn’t it?

i've not seen evidence of that, but it doesnt mean to say it didnt happen.

i know last year there was a lot of people who had covid on their death certs, yet they died of cancer or something else, but the doctors were either lazy, or were trying to get their bit of bunce the government promised them for every covid death they had to deal with (though this is rather cynical of me).

What's the rules for wearing a motorbike helmet?

Can someone say "I have Asperger's/OCD/spots round my chin/it reminds me of when my dad used to smack me around the ear" and get away with it?

Can you just make something up and not bother to wear one? If not why not?

how does anyone with a modicum of intelligence believe that the vast minority ,almost non existent percentage of non mask wearers can escalate a ‘virus’ to such an extent as being protrayed by the media?
when the majority of the population wears them and has been since march, you still think they have ANY effect on the outcome given the daily figures.

well it doesnt help,

imo the kids going to school and not giving a monkey's about social distancing etc outside of it are the biggest cause of the virus spread.

No - only specific religions were exempt. (no longer now)

The legislation relating to wearing of such helmets was considered and discussed at length. It went through the proper parliamentary process of committees and due diligence. It was subject to proper scrutiny.

I'll take you up on that bet...

What are you willing to gamble on that figure you have plucked out of the air?

Let's face it, because we live in a free democratic society (I'm waiting for the 'we don't any longer' responses)
Wait no longer...

Could you tell us which of the latest 'rules' have been passed by parliament in what is supposed to be a 'parliamentary democracy'?
