OK enough of the abuse.

I would like to know more about plastic pipe being used for heating.
I understand under floor heating is usually done in plastic.

So if it's OK for this purpose why isn't it OK for normal central heating?

I speak out of experience because a lot of the copper pipe work in my house failed due to solder corrosion.

Has anyone seen a pushfit fitment fail?

No sh@it.
So that makes it alright to label UF heating installers (who use plastic piping) " cowboys" just because time has moved on and practises change ???.

if it bursts under a slab it aint gonna scald you

Has anyone seen a pushfit fitment fail?

a few but such is life ;)

If a copper pipe bursts under a slab it isn't going to scald you either so what's the difference?

You've seen a few pushfit fitments fail. How many copper fitments have you seen fail?
I've seen loads in my house alone. :(

Oh Dear !!!
I think the Monkey hung himself ?

Must have been Kevplumb or Agile who installed them. Their probably a bit dodgy at the soldering or "incompetent" for want of a better word.

Their a bit thick and think the system is going to run at full blast without the occupier (assuming he is in the premises at all) suspecting something is wrong and sitting in his chair beside his radiator with the radiator sitting at 90 degrees C.

I challenge both Kevplumb and this Agile character to state how many accidents are recorded yearly by the HSE due to double fault conditions on all boiler installations in the UK installed with plastic piping.

Has perhaps ONE failure taken place which may not even have warranted an investigation by the HSE as no one was injured ????????????????????????????.
O dear me. Lets ban plastic piping on all heating installations.

myself and agile don't agree on quite a few points

however we do agree on one point

dingbats like you
