Mushroom foraging.

Does anybody on here do it? Starting to see quite a few in the woods on my dog walks. Some could make a nice meal, some could poison me.

Yesterday I saw this one which I assumed to be edible.

And this one that looked like it would kill me.

So, anyone brave or knowledgeable enough to try mushroom foraging?
There's a few round here I eat, after checking on here Wild UK Mushrooms. Some St. Georges (grows around his day) on the grass outside my house. Very tasty.

Saw loads more today. Same as the first picture in this thread.

Pretty sure they are trooping funnel mushrooms. I might pick some tomorrow and fry them up.

It has the raised nipple like the earlier one. But still could be:

I’ll fry some up and run them round to you to try out. ;)

@Mottie If you get blurred vision, excessive sweating, start dribbling, sh*t yourself, get painful abdominal cramps... you'll know you got it wrong.

Well, I went for it this morning. Had to really search for them though - I think another forager had beaten me to them. Took some home, cooked them up and had them on some brown sourdough toast. Luvverly! If I continue posting throughout the day, you’ll know they were okay to eat!

I saw a few others today as well. Going to check them out and if okay, I’ll be having those on my plate tomorrow (y)

I enjoyed your posts. I reckon you'll know in about 2-4 hours. If you've f**ed your liver, 5-10 days and you'll start "feeling better".. well it wont hurt anymore, put it that way.

Make sure your Will is up to date.

How are the hallucinations ?
None at all. In fact, I had some more this morning on toast and the person I walk with collected some to take home for herself and her neighbour.

The round ones I pictured yesterday had opened today.

Looking online, I’m pretty sure they are 'Parasol' mushrooms. I may try them next but I’m not going there again till next week now.
