Usual type of thread that Denso manages to convert into a trolling exercise. A few will have a ***k over him but best ignored imco.

The thread was designed to troll the EU and bait us remoaners. Yes the caps are a bit of a pain but can be adjusted to, nobody has banned ripping them off. Billions are produced each year, so more chance of them being recycled if attached to the bottle. But feel free to toss them into the Atlantic.

Just met them in Italy; initially we thought was how inconvenient... Then with a little bit of thought we changed our minds to what a good idea! With the retained cap it can't be lost when out and about; we didn't find it difficult to manage, just unscrew until the top part is loose then just flick it up and the cap stays open to pour or drink from the bottle; flick it back down to reseal.

Same for us this year in Greece. Bottles of water. I found that after opening, flipping and drinking from them, you flipped the cap closed, turned it anti-clockwise until you heard/felt a 'click' then you could tighten the lid.

Well done that post gets you your sticker. I am not talking about the issue of single use plastics I am talking about the crap design to try and combat it that will IMO make things worse.

No, the blame was being put on the EU, when in fact it was introduced by the Tories when they didn't have to. I know it doesn't fit the narrative...
