New workers rights?

Problem with the Brexit debate is that what were the remain campaign saying ?
Germany has much stronger trade union protection, our legacy is british leyland but also bad emploers.

He's got to keep the unions happy, would have thought bringing the period when protection starts back to 12 months would be sensible. Or applying tne new rules to employers with a minimum number of workers, say 20, so as to protect small businesses.
Sensible idea.

Remain we’re saying no destination of brexit was better than membership

Remain specifally stated that leaving the single market significantly increased trade barriers and thus be an act of U.K. imposing economic sanctions on itself

Both are true and both have been proven to be true

The min number has been mentioned by the media. It was 10 according to them so? The other point is which new rules? For instance if of the same sort of nature as the min wage I suspect it will be universal.
So many wait and sees.

I was commenting on the right not to be unfairly dismissed. 12 months = workable even 9. But acquiring rights on day one, just means people get letters telling them how sh*t they are. The process in Spain for example is awful, has to go to court even if you both agree to the settlement.

You keep demonstrating how much more onerous the employment rights are across Europe.

But saying you won't be employing from the UK

Apparently Sue Grey was hiring people on 3 month contracts, maybe she didn't know what was coming

In technical areas contract work isn't that unusual. I can only comment on when I was actually working. Typical examples were people from specific company areas such as software but not just them. That folds and all most can get is contract work. Pay generally will be higher than being directly employed. Get a reputation even higher - mostly software. Becoming a consultant can also figure but more complicated. That might be looking at brand new ideas for some company to see if the idea is worth while.

This of course mostly relates to manufactured items even if not actually made in the UK.

Fair and reasonable is what is needed. Fire and rehire is basically bullying to give lower wages while those at the top pay themselves more. P & O prime example. Zero hours, an employee travelling to work and then getting a call or working one hour and getting sent home because "we are not busy enough ". And if you speak out you are targeted. No unemployment benefits if you refuse to turn up next time. C### employers who take advantage. A race to the bottom and normalised poverty.

She'll be needing Labours new Day 1 rights, now that she looks like her 2nd job, isn't going anywhere

because I was uninformed and was taken in by vote leave lies..........good grief Ive explained this dozens of times, what is wrong with you people

and when I became informed I changed my opinion based on the facts.............unlike you.

In fact I came to the realisation I was wrong by learning from people on here
