Nobody knows what happened to her.
Maybe some wacko grabbed her and she's caged in a van. Maybe she's been having an affair for years and staged her disappearance. Maybe she hit rock bottom and drowned herself so her family get the insurance.

None sound that plausible, but any possible. I find it odd no body found in the river though.

Dog off harness and leaving the phone on the bench suggests she wanted to vanish and not be traced. But then, an abductor might do that too. And why not just leave the dog at home?
Somebody might have been planning this for months though, maybe s perfect murder.

A local mother went missing last year, she turned up several days later having been in a drug den somewhere. Turns out she had a drug habit that nobody knew about.

I did some work at the main cop shop in brum in the late 90's / early 2000's and, during a break in one of the meetings, one of the blokes was regaling us with tales of clearing the protesters from the route of the proposed M6 Toll.

The crusties had taken to the trees, to slow their felling and clearing.

The bloke said they were short-staffed, so were pulling in plod who'd been desk jockeys for years. Like him.

Swampy got him with a full bucket of p!ss.

The drinking/depression thing could well be significant, we have no idea as to her state of mind, depression can do funny things, many folk take their own life and it's seemingly completely out of the blue.
