So, the good people of Britain came out and faced down the thugs. Those of a certain persuasion must hate that. Hopefully, that is the end of this for now. Farage's role in this has been a disgrace from the moment he blew his dog whistle over the killings of those little girls, to his barmy video the other night where he tried to compare the policing of graffiti and tyre slashing to the policing of extreme racist violence and arson.

I only caught the news briefly late last night. Large number of what could be called antifascist demo's and very few problems Rather large ones. Police finished up between one and the usual.

C4 report added an interesting factor. Reporters noticing the same faces in different riots. Going on 2011 arrests may go on for months. One person mentioned a year when 1.2m moved here. Boats - a miniscule proportion.

Move on and attack the refugee services areas. Clever move by the people driving it all. Might even deter some from coming but just how do you stop the boats? Some countries have put out travelling to the UK warnings. Many will be seeing the most sensational scenes on their TV's.

I may be wrong but presumably, some sort of checks regarding criminality, illnesses, employment and accommodation are carried out on legal immigrants? Basically, the same as I had to go through in the early eighties when I was offered a job in South Africa.

I don't understand the point you are making here.

I am just saying that since Brexit we no longer have "uncontrolled" immigration. We "took back control" of our borders. You might think 400,000 net migration a year is far too high. But that is now our choice and is under our control and can be changed if we want.

I think that in these exceptionally difficult times it is important for intelligent people everywhere to use the correct language.

Germany works it out at 8.5% of them are criminals. The question was, would you be happy with 8.5% of the boat immigrants who are applying for asylum to be criminals and allowed to roam free, unchecked? If not, state the percentage that you would be comfortable with.
