No the boats taking them there were shown turning round. If there were any there no mention of it at all. I'm sure it would have come out over the years.

Spy satellites observed launch pads being built, and bombers parked by an airstrip.

Actually in those days it was more rather high flying spy aeroplanes.

If I knew how to make one, I'd either be locked up somewhere working on one, having been kidnapped or on a Superyacht somewhere having made one for someone for a fee.
