So it turns out that the claim they weren't sharing war plans was correct. They shared attack orders, which is far worse. War plans would be a higher level with less detail. Attack orders mean the exact details on how it will occur.
To put it into UK context, during the Falklands the attack on Goose green was shared with the press and publicised too soon, the Argentinas were alerted and lives were probably lost as a result. This is not the same, this had the potential to be worse.
This would be the equivalent of leaking the operational orders explaining which company was going to be assaulting which location from where, where the fire support was to be based, the timings for the assault. Luckily the reporter in question didnt share that information until it was safe to do so, but the information that was leaked on an insecure medium was far far worse.

The other aspect of this is it's possibly a war crime. They blew up a civilian block of flats to hit a single target. For that to be lawful they need to make every effort to avoid civilian casualties.
Given it was apparently an Israeli human intelligence asset, oh and yes leaking that was not great either, they might be able to justify it. But killing 50 innocents, probably including children, should always be something that leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
