Owen Paterson

with reference to the dockers' "bonus"...
apparently the British Shoe Corporation in the 60's (?) found that dockers were stealing a massive amount of pairs of shoes from the export market.
They decided to export left shoes from Liverpool and right shoes from Glasgow.
Given that there was no internet, nor a telephone in many homes, it only took a couple of months before the theft levels returned to the same as before. The dockers had arranged to pair up "extra" shoes

Considering the widespread problem of flytipping i'd say the pencil pushers are doing us all a favour.

the bin men were not fly tipping

they gave over a few squid to the tip workers who turned a blind eye

they were helping to stop fly tipping

it’s the pencil pushers in the councils that are the cause of more fly tipping

He's not very funny for a comedian.
In fact he's not in the slightest bit funny. A constant stream of bad language is not inherently funny, but he appears to think it is.
It's not surprising he's banned form live gigs. The punters would want their money back. That's not good for promoters.

It seem Owen Paterson wasn’t told by Boris he had done U turn.

So Johnson wasn’t saving a mate, No Sir, he was using it as an excuse to get rid of the standards committee.

Johnson intention was to get rid of the committee and reform a new one using Tory mates on the panel.

Disgusting example of abuse of executive power……and cheered on by Brexit supporters

John major (who I regard as honest if politically misguided) demolished Boris on radio four today.
Whatever you say about major being “not right wing enough” or “ another Tory” or a “remoaner” I do think he believed in democracy and truth.

Thank you Edwina.

He was as bent as any Tory... Just his it well.

He was a staunch supporter of EU so he would have been booted out of the party by Boris.
So not like any other (current) Tory at all.

He wasn't exactly truthful was my point.

He prorogued parliament for his own gain. Forced Maggie Thatcher out by doing dodgy dealings behind her back ...

He had his fair share of controversy.

No one will ever come close to Boris, and the current conservative lot.

Parliament has not been prorogued by a government as a means of circumventing parliamentary opposition to government policy since 1948,

Your being obtuse purely for the sake of it..

Major was as crooked as the rest of them.

Major prorogued parliament to postpone the report so he didn't have to answer questions, it was also done because there was a general election not far off from when the report was ready to be published.

"In 1997, John Major, the then prime minister, and leader of the Conservative and Unionist Party, controversially prorogued parliament at a time that avoided parliamentary debate of the Parliamentary Commissioner's report on the cash-for-questions affair."

Is it so bad that an average crooked ex-Tory PM thinks that the current Tory PM is dastardly crooked?

No I've never said that.

I was commenting that John major was not an honest bloke as tiger stated.
