Owen Paterson

Vinty doesn't like Tory sleaze to be mentioned

He hopes to bury it under a barrage of irrelevant whataboutery.

We only have one government and one prime minister

Both shamelessly corrupt.

You can say that again!

How much money did Blair make from his time in politics.

You tell me. Sleeze matters but how do we deal with it going forward. You seem to be obsessed with the past as a defence of current actions.

I think his thought process is

Someone, somewhere, something, Corbyn, Blair.

Well the corrupt bar steward has fallen on his sword...

Good riddance!

Only problem is that an equally corrupt person will be elected by the dumbed down electorate (n)

I don't have a problem with Tory sleaze being mentioned.
I am just curious as to why you think Labour sleaze is irrelevent.
Is your problem with sleaze or is it just Tory sleaze.

Yes, i think the past has an effect on the present.
Sleaze and dishonesty in politics didn't start with Owen Paterson.
Plenty of dodgy Labour conmen.

Corruption and sleaze

:ROFLMAO:

some in here ;) have no interest in corruption and sleaze in politics
Unless it happpens to be in the Tory party :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

they occupy the moral high ground or think they do :ROFLMAO: when in actual fact they don’t give a **** about

sleaze / corruption unless it involves a certain political party or can be linked to them or brexit

The only thing that surprises me is that some folk can still be shocked by the revelation that politics is a synonym of corruption.

He didn't get away with it & they won't get away with it. You can thank neither your politicians nor your MSM for this truth.

It does not surprise me that the vast majority of you have absolutely no idea who to thank for exposing this & bringing it to its rightful conclusion.

He's resigned.

I struggle to absorb the messages of your MSM, I really do.

It's cutting edge news which I have an interest in, so I'm forced to consider their contribution. But even from the first minute, your MSM is trying to sell him as a victim.

Yes folks. This particular source of the foul stench of corruption in Westminster has just been sacrificed to protect the greater good of all those other corrupt politicians.

Chris Bryant (L) in his speech yesterday, as chair of the standards cttee, cited as precedents for the sanction of 30 days, a whole list of similar or higher sanctions. Plenty of reds in the list who were severely dealt with.

Get a grown-up to explain what the news reports are saying.
