" Smart meter problems and how to solve them"

Don't be stupid enough to get one installed !

No I am not. I 'm just relating experience. Also mentioning another reason Cadent would want to get out of it. There are now a lot more people installing them mostly via the major suppliers.

Show me some direct evidence of smarts not working due to faults that don't relate to the coms not working. That fault is all that has been mentioned in the news.
Have you missed the bit where I’ve been to numerous faulty SM’s ?

You stick to that keyboard and I’ll live in the real world.

"Some have been concerned that smart meters give off radiation", :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

They do, the HAN radiates, as does the connection to the IHD - that is how they communicate, via radio frequency radiation. Harmful? Not at all, far less than the mobile phone, which many people live with, stuck to their ears.

"He wont. He cant."

And then complaining about 'unnecessary exclamation marks'?

So before one continues to spout the same old worn out lies, one ought to check their use (or lack thereof) of apostrophes when using contractions ;)
The wait goes on....

and set aside or made void fairly easily..

If only there was a way of switching the consumer's supply without needing a warrant... Some sort of ability to remote switch it without a court order?
The process leading up to being cut off are exactly the same for both meters.

You are no more likely to switched or cut off with either meter.

You’ve said, it’s been noted.

There’s a little bit more to SM’s though.

Perhaps it’s beyond you ?

When and how many? If some one said replacing the older mostly mechanical meters with electronics could be less reliable I wouldn't argue but the mechanical systems do need removing and checking now and again.

What I would find hard to believe is that suppliers carry on fitting meters that have too high a fault rate. With electronics I would expect some small proportion of early failures. Nature of the beast and saving money on soak testing and things like that. Poor design is also possible.

Regardless of all the irrelevant blather - we can all look forward to being the proud beneficiaries of smart meters any day soon.

Suck it up fellas. (y)
It can’t be enforced so, no we won’t.

Silly Boyo
