Panorama - The Smart Meter mess

What was wrong with it? I'm genuinely curious. No other reason for asking
I’ve said at least twice previously. Please have a look.

It’s a common fault for call outs.

Never have one - the BBC link I posted mentions that when the life of the older ones is over, 10 to 20 years from new it will probably be replaced with a smart meter.
You’re either a Troll or just believe everything you read.

Just think about why Cadent won’t touch SM’s

I’m sure the times have an article that will suit your narrative

The wait goes on....
Indeed it does...

So would you care to tell us when you will admit that you are in the wrong, or are you going to carry on with your erroneous waffle ad infinitum?

The jury of course is still out on whether you can do that before or after you work out the intricacies of those contraction apostrophes :)

Yes, or they'll make it a condition of particular tariffs.

I’ve been out to one this morning. Kept going from on to ready, that’s a very common fault.

So the customer has no gas until someone comes to repair or exchange the SM for another SM.

That couldn’t happen with a dumb meter.

FACT
For anyone who missed the fault post as I did.

That is already, and has been a condition, for a few years. For the time being, they have enough voluntary installations. Once they have caught up with the voluntary installs, they will move onto the involuntary, which is as it should be..

Hear say.

Hear say.

The usual, head in sand nonsense from you. 'Hear say', no - common sense, it is unavoidable in the long term. The only reason they were not forced on everyone from the beginning was, inadequate supplies. Welcome to the real world!

Are you a gas engineer with SM experience?

Compared against another thing that meters gas or electric? No.

Meter = a thing that meters. Faulty my arse.
It’s the name that you are struggling with. Do you understand that a smart meter can control the supply ?

I do understand a SM is simply a meter yes. And continues to be a meter just like my old meter even though it has stopped singing and dancing, yes.
I do understand a SM can be turned off - yes.

I do understand that millions of analogue meters were replaced with pre-pay meters yes and you attempted to make out that was a SM issue and you looked a tw@ - yes.

I do understand you tried to ridicule another poster when he said getting a court order to enter a home was easy, when in fact millions of these orders were waived through - yes. The poster was correct and you looked a tw@ - again.

I do understand that a SM is no different to a dumb meter in terms of the processes leading to being cut off - yes.

I do understand you are no more likely to be cut off or switched to pre-pay with either meter - yes.

I do understand that OFGEM paused meter switching but lacked the authority to impose a permanent ban, were not in favour of a permanent ban, and the practice has resumed - yes.
