So you acknowledge SM's can be remotely cut off - tick!
You acknowledge that an analogue meter needs an intrusion into your property - tick!
And you prefer that the power companies can cut you off remotely rather than get an enforcement order for entry to your property, which of course affects all others with smart meters whether they like it or not - tick!
Maybe you would be kind enough to explain this to nosenothing...

Your missing mine. The only group with any interest in meter readings is the suppliers. Due to demarcation problems they did have need to involve the distributors. eg Removing house fuses etc even fitting meters. The suppliers took the readings. Used to be pretty regular but the time interval just kept increasing. They would also check for meter bypassing etc. So SM's have checks for tampering that go back to base if they indicate some one has. The aim of an SM is no need to ever visit but they probably still have a lifetime limit just as the old meters did.

Correct. The actual process is neither whimsical or swift. It's a distinct set of rules. The SM morons would have you believe that, one missed bill and the SM is quickly killed, lol. Power companies can be sued for damages (amounting to a lot more than the bill debts) if they decide to waive the process.

If court orders were difficult then, no, they don't need to access your property. But courts give out permission easily, and cheaply.
