4. Ongoing conversion to islam by feeble minded individuals.

Yes, this one always makes me laugh.

What sort of a desperate, hopeless, unthinking dullard do you have to be to see islam as a way of giving meaning and purpose to your hopeless and pointless existence. Typing that makes me realise that nosey and islam were made for each other!

....those who you trust to douse the fire, fuelled it in the first place?...
Very poetic but can you make some sense?

Thank you to Micilin :)

Over to you, Noseall.
No still baffled. Who are these people I trust and how do they fit in with Islamic extremism?

I'm only making sense of the sentence, not the sentiment:cool:

Its easily enough understood.
Nose states....

"Things are being done on our behalf. We live in a democracy whereby we elect people of power to see to it that we have people dealing with terrorism."

So one would assume he trusts them. Its too bad he's too thick to realise they are the ones fueling the fire.

Too long winded to read all that. Eyes glazed over after the first sentaance. Anyway my opinion remains the same.
Have seen all those weasel words from politicians before.
This thread is about paris in any case.

Which makes my points very well, especially on how you would reply. But you've not seen that, have you?

You have a truly remarkable abilty to have seen all those weasel words before - without actually reading them.

As for eyes glazing over after the first sentence, even more remarkable that you got the gist of it from "I'm glad you liked my 'speech', thank you for the kind comment"

But it explains that a history book would be a real struggle, as generally they have more than a couple of sentences.

I'm tempted to say "No further questions your honour, the prosecution rests."

I don't need a history book. Its all in my mind since 1920 when fenians tried to murder my grandfather.
Well out numbered he returned fire at the cowards with his trusty lee enfield and cut lumps out of them. I'm pretty sure he killed one of them. His relatives are still ira members and supporters today.

Here's one of the clues the French Intelligence missed in the Paris case.
The Kouachi brothers had succeeded in building up a cache of arms in their apartment. Neighbours discovered that cache, but they were then intimidated into silence. This, however, might represent more a failure of local policing - and poor relations between the local Muslim community and the authorities - than national intelligence.

From the BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-30760656

From this we can only deduce that the neighbours "intimidated into silence" were so afraid, they had absolutely no opportunity to contact the police at all.. Yeah right. I think the truth lies somewhere in between intimidation and a fear of being ostracised by the Muslim community (and I personally believe the fear of being ostracised by the Muslim community was stronger), (but the local community ain't going to say that,, are they? )

My apologies, I didn't realise you were around in 1920. Fair Play- that explains a lot.
And your grandfather's relatives became IRA members after he was attacked by Fenians - how strange.

And by the way, I had to smile when you said a couple of posts back that 'This thread is about paris in any case.', as it was you who brought Omagh into it!

On a serious note - if your world view is really shaped by a 1920 Fenian attack (during the Irish War of Independence), then I can see how you pile grievance onto grievance and can only think of revenge and murder as a response to extremism.

Britain can't afford to upset Muslims and Islamic states too much that have billions invested in Barclays,Harrods,Sainsburys etc.Big money will win. ;)
