Plod has 'regrets'...

Because your protest should also not disrupt my peaceful enjoyment.

Many thousands of people wanted to attend and cheer the coronation, which should not be disrupted by placard waiving protesters intent on spoiling their view and being heard. Just as those who want to 'boo' military parades on "religious" grounds should also not be permitted if it spoils other people's enjoyment.

Its a small crowded country, we have to try to get along.
So let's get this straight then...

According to you no protest should have any effect whatsoever on anyone else?

And while you're about it, define 'enjoyment'...

Would you have objected to Emily Davison spoiling the 'enjoyment' of people watching an abusive 'sport' by throwing herself in front of the king's horse in order to get the vote for women?

Blimey, the primordial swamp of your mind seems to have spawned a few amoeba.

You it appears didn't make it to the singular cell stage

The microscopic primordial beginnings of life appear to have passed you by

And that could be said of all brexiteers, alive or deceased...

There you go again, your limited intelligence fails to make you aware of my very limited compliment.

I don't need to, parliament already did it. see post #15 The common law offence of creating a public nuisance has been abolished.

We now have:

You aren't allowed to intentionally create a public nuisance. Any act that affects someone else's enjoyment or lawful rights - surely you wouldn't want people to be able to be a deliberate nuisance to others? This came about to stop people chaining themselves to motorway bridges to cause hours of delays.

Are you open to the possibility that 'protest' organisations like Just Stop Oil & Extinction Rebellion may actually be false flag operations that are designed to cause the disruption that our MSM can use as the propaganda to whip up our frenzy into accepting the outright BANNING of the tactics used in any type of traditional protest?

How do we protest that which we don't like?

I own a few acres of woodland. Somewhere in that woodland is a Badger sett. The wood is flanked on 3 sides by very productive grass fields that are very desireable to any farmer wishing to capitalise on the premium that grass fed beef raises.

Badgers & cattle don't mix. They wish to come onto my property & kill my Badgers. Could someone please tell me exactly how I can protest against 'they' who wish harm on my Badgers?

Talking of protests that don't affect others, how's that 'pay more' protest of yours going? You know, the one you call 'don’t pay' where as a protest at high energy prices, you were going to cancel your direct debit and pay on demand, paying on average £200 a year MORE into the energy companies coffers for the privilege?

Protesters

Depends what they are protesting about imo

If I don’t agree with it they should all be arrested

Those road protesters chaining them selves to bridges or sticking them selves to roads or any other such caper should all get tazored
duffed up and jailed

The only regret should be they weren't horsewhipped down the Mall by a squadron of Cavalry.
Now you're talking.

It was the coronation for goodness sake, slightly over zealous policing is in order.
That is the only correct answer. These pillocks were intent on causing much mayhem and disruption.

Addicts can't help themselves.
Yes they can - it's all they ever do.

I’d cover them with pig shît.
If it was the Queen's coronation in the 1950s the protesters would be firmly, but very politely put in their places by smartly dressed middle-aged men who would request: "Remove your spectacles whilst I punch you on the nose".

Where has that all gone?
