The kids in work the other day complained of being 'tortured' by me having Radio 2 in the background. I thought I’d show 'em and played some stuff on my iPhone. I played this one and they started dancing round the workshop. One of them said "I'm Jamaican and I’ve never heard this before".

He asked me what it was called and I told him it was called "Me ears are alight". He wasn't sure whether to believe me or not. ;) :ROFLMAO:

They asked for more so I gave them:

and

Then the radio went back on.

If it's any consolation, I'm 32 and have a full appreciation of '60s mod, ska and Northern Soul! Influenced heavily by my father, who gave me his singles collection from the time.

At Christmas I bought myself the "Liquidator" album by Harry J. All Stars just because it has some great tracks on it.

As today's theme is Reggie music here's a blast from the past. Who remembers Max Romeo's "Wet Dream"? It was banned at the time. Can't imagine why.

Chelsea did start using it first back in the early 70s but a few other clubs also use it.

heard a cracking line on R5L the other day Bod, and thought of you.....

....they were talking about Chelsea's problems, and to what they might be attributable.

"No number 9", the one guy said.

"We've got no number 9, but more right wingers than the GB News line up!" :ROFLMAO:

I always liked a bit of ska, reggae and soul. Bob Marley was da man. Saw Buju Banton on telly once, bit heavy duty, but I likes this one.

I only know because I had a Chelsea supporter that worked for me once. It was the ringtone on his phone. I got sick of hearing it.
