I have seen the hundreds of academics describe Prof Stocks comments as oppressive and promoting discrimination and violence:I have seen some of the attacks, and they are by aggressive TRAs.
No guesswork required.
"In January, hundreds of academics criticised the decision to give Stock an OBE for services to higher education in the New Year honours list.
In an open letter, they condemned academics who use their status to “further gender oppression” and said they denounced “transphobia in all its forms”.
The letter said: “Trans people are already deeply marginalised in society, facing well-documented discrimination, ranging from government policy to physical violence. Discourse like that Stock is producing and amplifying contributes to these harms, serving to restrict trans people’s access to life-saving medical treatments, encourage the harassment of gender-non-conforming people, and otherwise reinforce the patriarchal status quo"

So on the one hand we have Prof Stocks exploiting her position to promote her transphobic ideas, and hundreds of other academics opposing her ideas, and the odd one or two protestors calling for her dismissal.
Freedom of Speech, eh? If one academic can promote transphobic views, another can call for her dismissal.
Please do present any links to any aggressive attacks that you found.
