Well perhaps I'll just mention how EU has enormous benefits for UK because it resolved the miners strike in the 70's. It's about as relevant as the Spain/Gibraltar telecom problem.I'm well aware of the fact that it started in 1969, and I'm also well aware of the fact that from Spain signing up to this "European club" in 1986 it was another 20 years before the telephone issue was finally resolved. And that resolution didn't come from the EU.I've already explained that telephone debacle erupted in 1969, way before Spain or UK were members.
All I did was mention the telecoms problem in passing after a reference to people cross-border working between Gibraltar and Spain and now you seem to want to try and make out that the EU has - yet again - been responsible for solving a problem and bringing great benefits.
Is that right? But I've found that in life people who accuse people of things usually share the views that they accuse others of but can't see it in themselves.
Filthy filthy little spiteful vindictive troll,
So its down to a vote to Close our borders to all Immigrants and Trade with the EU, and S*d the Ex Pats all three million of them living in EU Countries!!!
No. It's not up to you.
Are you suggesting the referendum will be rigged ?

I've actually looked through this thread a few times too and I cant see it either. In fact, I've read many threads in GD and I've found lots of spontaneity. Must be a trend.I've looked through this thread a few times and can't see where he said, he thinks you are pro mass immigration. Have I missed it? Serious question.

Ok, ok I'm wrong. You have some dark faced mates, you are not really a racist and you are cleverer than me.you just seem incapable of admitting you're in the wrong.
If you wish to maintain some kind of credibility

Satisfied.
Two out of three ain't bad.
Talking of concessions - ain't it time you stopped boring us to death about immigration now?
That's probably best in your case!Let's keep it simple,
How about you pretending your concern is with the EU:Can you explain to me why that's not hypocritical ?
The migration issue is threatening the existence of the EU

Your concern has always been about foreigners and immigration. Nothing else. You're wasting your time with those two issues.

Seems German voters are concerned about immigration.. So at least gasbanni is not alone in his concerns.

So certainly the RWR made some progress, just like Ukip/NF and BNP have made minor progress in UK, but it's not enough to upset the apple cart. The majority of the population are reasonable intelligent people who see through the anti-immigrant rhetoric. It points out that the pro-immigration Social Democrat and Green premiers of two states - Rhineland Palatinate and Baden Wuerttemberg - gained votes.
The Tageszeitung agrees. Under the front-page headline "85% stay cool", it points out that the "overwhelming majority" have voted for parties that support Ms Merkel's course.
Her Christian Democrats (CDU) lost votes but remained the strongest party in the poor eastern state of Saxony-Anhalt,
So is this a blow to Mrs Merkel's leadership? Not necessarily. It was also a historic victory for the Greens, who support the chancellor's position on refugees.
Remarkably in those states it was the CDU's left-wing opponents who backed Mrs Merkel's refugee policies most consistently - and tonight reaped the rewards for it. These results are proof that Germany is becoming increasingly polarised between voters who passionately support Mrs Merkel's pro-refugee stance and those angered by it.
