Remind me what bending the knee is all about?

Bending the knee is about racism. It is not about anti-abuse. If you feel strongly about people insulting others, start a campaign. Although you might find they already exist. But bending the knee is not just about racism in the football ground.

Criticising bending the knee is like criticising STOPCE / Tackling Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) in Sport because people who don't play sport also get abused.

So remind me why they bend the knee?

Is it because rich black football players get abuse online?

Because if it is I see white yellow rich or poor men and women also getting abused online.

Do you know what colour the two most abused football players are?

They are not black and by a long way.

Anyone in an identifiable group is going to get abuse as a result of being in that group, from people who aren't.
It's a natural go-to for the dumb.
There will always be the dumb.
There will always be the behaviour.
Yes it's undesirable. All the abuses are.

If you focus on one particular category of perennial abuse to protest about, you're never going to have justification to stop the protest.
So knee-taking will be with us forever.
Meaningless ritual everyone ignores?? Or which may exacerbate the behaviour??

So drop TKN. Say in the program etc that abuse in all its form will not be tolerated, monitor it and act on it.
Announce a new initiative to appease the complainers.

Wait a minute,
Domestic abuse, typically committed by men, is another undesirable perennial.
At the start of every group meeting, every man should take the knee for that.

Bullying is bad. Particularly, it's muscley people.
At the start of every group meeting, all of those should take the knee for that.

You know, short people always seem to be at a disadvantage, therefore.....

If I was on 250 grand a week plus perks and some one said don’t rock the boat take the knee

I would it would not bother me

If they said don’t than I wouldn’t

For 250 grand a week plus perks

I could not care less tbh
Can you imagine the possibility that your reasons are a major part of why you aren't on £250k per week???

Why bend the knee for one section of society.

There was this player in the lower leagues that lost a child... these same fuçkers abused him about his child..... What makes you think racism is any worse than any other abuse.

Make a protest just don't make it about one section of society
You're right, you can do it for any part of society. But you'd need to explain to others it's meaning when you do it, because they did it first.

I don't. Why do you even suggest that?!

It is about racism. That's the point. BLM are not campaigning against abuse and injustice to animals, or lgbt, or goths, or disabled, or jews, or Muslims, or children, they are focusing on racism. Stop expecting them to support your causes of you don't even support thiers.

You are free to start your own awareness campaigns for other matters . They're are also many others to choose from. Nobody is stopping you. If you care so strongly about something, do something.

No, it's not because of that. If you really don't know, direct your question to one of the black players or BLM. Or just read about it.

From the bbc:

Where does taking the knee in sport come from?

American footballer Colin Kaepernick took the knee during the national anthem before a match in 2016. He said he could not stand to show pride in the flag of a country that oppressed black people.

The anti-racist statement has since become a prominent symbol in sport and during protests.

Plumbers spend a quarter of their lives on their knees boyo, for a lot less than a pro footballer. (y)

Bending the knee is about racism and receiving abuse - not because the football was rubbish, or not because he’s an opposition player - no, they are being abused just because of their colour.

(bodd still won’t get it) sigh.

When Kap took the knee, he took a stand against the treatment given to people of colour in America; just as Mohammed Ali did in 1967 when protesting against the Vietnam War. Both suffered abuse and, in Kap's case ended his career in Pro Football.
The right to protest is an intrinsic value of Western Democracy and it's telling when people deny them the right to raise awareness of their plight.

White Lives Matter, of course, but the only way i've seen that issue raised is by Far Right groups in America waving a Confederate Flag, so i'm not sure anyone would wish to align themselves with such a movement unless they sympathise with their views...or express racist sentiments themselves.

So, are the people who jeer at England footballers for taking a knee racist or just disagreeing with their right to maintain awareness of discrimination towards coloured people in society?

I thought he had started his own campaign, against bending the knee, or abuse against non-Black footballers, or Spurs, or some such other stuff that is important to him.

If anyone take pîss out of me for being a short spotty milky skinned fella with a ginger perm, I will expect others around to bend knee in protest.

So what you saying is that BLM means just that. We mean Only black lives

we will hold all you white football fans accountable by bending our knees and Lord it over you all.
