If you mods do it in the background, don't be surprised if there's little respect for such sneeky moves. Have the decency to be open about it, then you might have some respect from miserable posters like me. As it is you seem to wield your axes like whirling dervishes.

the admin seem to have this thing about not wanting anyone to know who the mots are. Maybe they act as agent-provacateur and so get people wiped off.

There are too many rules, anyone would think there is a competition with what was the ODPM to see how much you could tread on the peasants before they revolted, well I'm revolting.

Yes it does. Revolt all you want but if topics stray outside of what is clearly acceptable on this site it will be edited or deleted. You are right it is not an easy job moderating a lot of what is written and it is not always simple deciding what should and should not stay. We try to keep a balance going for as long as possible in debates, but when personal insults start flying,or items are rude or offensive and threads become bogged down in them it is necessary to edit them. Likewise the bottom line is this is a family based forum for anyone to use, that is run on a private basis. Therefore anything we consider could offend anyone using the site may be edited. We dont always get things right and sometimes it does wind posters up, which is understandable, but we would rather a poster gets offended by a post being edited than many people get offended by something that has been written.

As for what happened to your thread oilman i cant comment as i wasnt the moderator that edited it. So in answer to your question there are more than one of us!

Now revolt over and get back to work/arguing/debating/insulting etc etc
