replacing an MCB?

the MK fully loaded consumer unit that screwfix sell is a decent deal on a good brand

thier site is down right now but here is the google cache link to the page listing it

they should be back up sometime thie evening (though given its a sinday they will probablly be back off by the end of this evening)

they seem to have decided to rather than building up a huge queue or orders that they can't despatch to close down the site when they have got all the orders they can deliver on normal schedule

Already ordered! Hope that my earthing arrangement will allow this type of box now...

There is a main earth that comes from the supply to the CU via a cable
so I hope it is the PME type.

Here is a url: http://www.infospace.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk

I ordered the CU earlier I just hope it is ok for my earthing arrangement.

When mounting the MCB's onto the din-rail, if they tend to slide around or wobble a bit, just run a length of electrical insulating tape along both the top and bottom flanges of the din-rail, before clipping on the MCB's.

You will find the MCB's grip the taped edges firmly, and do not wobble about - I have seen some pictures of CU's on this forum, where the MCB's look as if they are flopping around on the din-rail, and slide around a bit too.
