Does that include East Europeans? Veiled baseless comments about the French with zero explanation. We beat the Germans in WWII - with a lot of help even from Russia.
You don't think that sort of area had an effect on the result which was pretty close anyway?

If you think that way about them, that's your prerogative. Comments are bandied about about "foreigners" in a lot of countries, I dare say French, German and other European peoples have terms for us Brits.
The companies wanting cheap Labour wouldn’t be able to do that if this country had a left wing govt, you know with strong Labour rights.

i see the same argument about new cars, yet drive past a dealership and they all have full forecourts... so is there a shortage or not, we are being told there is, but visually looks the same...
meh guess we'll never really know.
i read an article the other day, that said the uk economy is going to be one of the worst performing of all next year, said it was due to the war in ukraine, but didnt really go into specifics, and said the german economy was going to be one of the strongest... which i find odd as we arent as reliant on russian oil and gas as say.. germany..
never really know what to believe these days.
what i can tell you though is that shipping stuff in and out of europe is a right royal pin in the rectum, causing me no end of grief in my job, advice for anyone, dont ever use TNT to send or receive anything via europe unless you can wait 3 weeks, so far this is the only thing i can definitely say is worse since brexit.

TBH I think that Europe is in trouble and that includes us. I don't see how economic controls such as interest rates can work when a country has no control of the prices of stuff it needs to buy. The only hope is that sources over supply and need to reduce prices to get rid of the stuff or even sell in the first place. As prices of all sorts are high because demand can't be met easily more will probably be produced to make more profit. Producing more of anything means putting more money in. Reducing costs can do too.
Sort of magic roundabout and I feel it might be broken. USA though - not so sure about them. Lots of stuff they need is available in their own country.Sponsored Links
