The meter shows a permanent red light showing the transmission isn't working. The gas meter uses the same separate box. Bills also show estimated. Also recently received a letter telling us to have a smart meter fitted.Given the problems I had with having 2 electric and 2 gas meters and getting that changed to one of each they must know we already have one. I had to go through that to get the smart meter sorted out.Mine are working fully, and we sometimes still see meter readers come round
Getting a reading out of the gas meter. Nothing I have tried works even after phoning the supplier. I should have asked the reader about that.
