Wes Streeting clearly didn't bother reading his copy.
When do you think the manifesto was published?

I'll give you a clue.

It was after Rishi called his snap election.

They will shaft you just as the Tories did, but they'll be wearing a different coloured tie, and for some of you, that seems to be ok

The elephant in the room is Jeremy Hunt cut 2% off NI as a bribe to voters which was unfunded, he did it with bogus “savings on public services” which was never realistic.

It was a Labour trap, part of Tories salting the earth for the incoming govt.

Labour had no choice but to keep it

And now we have cuts being made to finance it.

These are the sh1t games of politics…..in a sensible world Labour would’ve reversed the cut

They had a choice.
Ah, you mean you want them to put tax up.

Three billion, was it?

And the Tories spent it on something else.

"The DHSC originally allocated £3.6bn over three years to implement the changes."

"However, in 2022, it decided to delay the reforms by two years and ploughed most of this money (£3.14bn) into shoring up existing adult social care services, in particular, to increase the number of care packages councils delivered each year."

So, it was a Conservative proposal

And the Conservatives defunded it.

As I've said before, I'm quite willing to pay a bit more tax to rebuild the nation and repair the damage the Conservatives caused.

Not everyone agrees.

You happy about poor pensioners being stripped of their heating allowance? Maybe older people should form a strong union. 2TK would be only too pleased to throw money at them.
It's not the poor pensioners being stripped of anything though. That's exactly the point.

False emotive argument

I am a pensioner. I am not poor. I don't mind losing that taxpayer handout.

There are people who need it more than me, and the nation is struggling to repair the damage caused by the Cons.

Exactly.

Target limited taxpayers money to where it is most needed.

Strange how it's all the Tories objecting, but they had no issue with austerity hitting the services that affect all, not just some. Wanting to continue spending money we don't have and complaining about paying the tax to provide it.

Motorbiking likes to pretend that I am poor, and falsely claims that this is why I want richer people to pay more tax.

As usual, he is completely wrong.

BTW, did he ever manage to get Angela Rayner convicted of anything? He seems to have dropped his lengthy campaign of vilification.
