Sorry, Politics

In this country a person is assumed to be innocent and must be proven guilty.

Are you persuaded we should suspend Habeus Corpus with regard to a particular religious group based upon the paranoia that a crime may be committed?

Many of these people are refugees, fleeing with just a bag and the clothes on their back. I don't expect any of them to be terrorists.

We are in an emergency which our existing laws, or rather the corruption of them, have failed to prevent. It is time for something different.

You say many of them are refugees - 1) do you know how many? 2) what are those that aren't refugees? and 3) how do you know these things?

The United Kingdom left the Single Market.

That makes the UK a 3rd country to the EU

That means there has to be an external customs barrier

And we already know there can not be a land border in Ireland

And therefore there has to be a border in the Irish Sea.

You can keep on denying it, but those are the facts.

The solution is very simple, goods destined for Northern Ireland exempt from checks subject to guarantees from the suppliers, there will be 'trusted suppliers', ie supermarkets etc.
Goods that can and will be transited onward to Southern Ireland will be subject to checks.
I expect an outcome similar to the above in the next few weeks.

Tovaritsch, enough with the Russkies, ok?

How so

According to eminent posters on here the Russians got the brexit vote through

Apparently the government is in hock ( controlled) by the Russians

Johnson is Putins bitch ? Which I read as being controlled by the Russians ?

If these educated ? Intelligent ? Clued up ? Posters in here say it is so than it must be ?

Or are you suggesting that they are porkie piers

Oh hang on a minute
I have got it now there was a conspiracy ;)

1). The Russians infiltrated the Labour Party membership with bogus applicants so as they could support Corbyns leadership

2)corbyn got voted in with the help of these Russian infiltrators
The Russians knew full well that corbyn could not win a general election

3) which meant that Johnson would get voted in and get Brexit done

4) Johnson being a secret admirer of putin ( his bitch ?) got brexit done

Simples

Russian infiltrators / influence

Blimey they are in bedded in both main stream political parties

Jeez us

Fillyboy says the solution is to swap to a land border :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
you really are deluded

I can tell you what will happen: nothing, Tories will back down from their pathetic posturing and Northern Ireland will continue to benefit from having full and free access to the Single Market, which is why Northern Ireland recovered much more quickly from the pandemic

That's not what I said, as you well know. For goods intended to transit to the republic or have the possibility of transiting to the republic, the border remains where it is, in the Irish sea., and subject those goods to customs checks/paperwork but exempt all goods intended for domestic use.

Looks like the issue is coming to a head so we'll find out soon enough what solution they arrive at.

has DUP repudiated all links to loyalist paramilitary groups?
The DUP have nothing to repudiate as they have never had a military wing.
Sinn Fein is the only political party in the British Isles that has a private army.
Don't you ever stop trolling, its becoming quite tedious.

Nothing wrong with free access to the EU as long as it isn't at the expense of unrestricted trade with the rest of the UK.

I thought Boris and his expert Brexers had signed an oven ready deal with the EU? Surely they are not stupid enough to renege on their own negotiated and signed deal?

Year on Year trade will grow between NI and EU….and as it does, trade will diminish NI - GB…..as a result the Protocol will become less relevant
N.I.is closer to mainland GB than it is to Europe.
Most of its trade is east west with GB rather than north south with the EU.
The protocol is a device to disrupt the natural flow of trade within the UK in order to achieve a political objective and that objective is to annexe N.I.
The EU not content with starting a war in Ukraine is now causing trouble in N.I. using Irish nationalists in the Republic and N.I. as proxies to damage the unity of the UK.
The Irish Republic has a track record of backing Britains enemies in order to weaken Britain so that they can steal territory.
However on the bright side, every belligerent that Irish Nationalism has backed against the British has lost, so hopefully that track record will continue.

You would have thought that after acting the 'billy big bollux' with all the talk of leaving NATO and setting up their own EU army, only to let the UK and the USA defend Europe against Russia, whilst Germany begs Russia for more gas, they'd learn their lesson, oh no.
The current EU mandate seems to be Russia has made us look like a bunch of nobs, the Eastern European countries and Scandinavia has made us look a bunch of nobs, let's kick Northern Ireland in the bollux, that'll make us look well hard.

The EU are really starting to look quite pathetic.

This Sinn Feiner got so excited about the election results he forgot to take his hood off.
