Huh? Feed-in power is synchronised to the grid frequency - as it clearly has to be.
Forgive me If I've not understood this thread. Isn't is all about powercuts and temporary power etc?

In which case:
What power cut?

The problem to the user these days tends to be low volts(as the DNO is not supplying power and the multitude of 'feed ins' are not able to take the full load)/wobbling frequency due the the amount of feed in power without a frequency reference(as the DNO is not supplying power and therefore the synchronising frequency reference is no longer available from the grid).

It's worth checking actual power consumption of your devices when speccing the generator. For example our freezer only draws 250W or so when running, but around 1200 peak at start up.
