The new prime minister has brought Suella Braverman, Dominic Raab and Michael Gove back into the cabinet while keeping Jeremy Hunt on as chancellor.

Sunak and Hunt do not need to be brilliant supermen, and they aren't.

They just need to be averagely sensible, competent and trustworthy, and that alone would be a dramatic improvement on the Johnson and Truss clusterflick.

In fact, we have a right to expect that the people who lead the country are a bit above average. That's what we pay them for.

Considering the newly appointed cabinet consists of the same old faces it's hard to see how anything has really changed - has Dominic Raab acquired new found wisdoom during his sabbatical?
Anything looks better compared to the Kamikaze-Truss era.
But after all the freebies Sunak gave away during lockdown with one hand he's now having to take it all back with the other.

And, to show how hard it is to play and win at 'Woke Politics' i heard someone say "why are so few women in his cabinet?"

The usual problems are cropping up from a couple of people

Our goes one Mogg, now sniping from the back benches. In comes Gove. LOL Suppose it's called levelling up. Both used rather similar anti EU chants. Rather low brow ones. Gove messed up an interview so badly I thought he would never come back. C4 now bound to be sold.

Noisy Suella back who wants something rather different to Hunt. It's essentially why she resigned. Maybe she will get knighted. Lady Rwanda would be a suitable title.

Penny gets the same job - seems she expected a promotion. I'd have thought more arms length might be a good idea.

A feminist is saying there aren't enough women in the cabinet. Can't remember her name. Seems the Times published it.

Rishi Sunak is a step in the right direction, to give the Tory Parliamentary Party their dues they haven't screwed up this time.

But there's still serious issues with his Cabinet and no one really knows what the economic policy of this government is. Let alone any other policies.

Read all of it. Also remember Cameron screaming you can't regulate the banks and comments about further actions they had in mind. Then the debt comment. The world got it wrong. Given the banking crisis debt will increase just as it has with covid and now Ukraine. The gold is a fascinating one. It sits there and does absolutely nothing. Pass on that but it will have been a financial decision. The stuff is useless unless something is done with it.
