Looking for some help.

been building some outbuildings ... basically timber frame panels with trussed
& tiled roofs.

I want to 'clad' the outside, but don't really want to spend rest of my life
staining the wood ...

It's about 8m x 6m x 2m plus a pine end.

I did a bit of Googling .. and came up with Rockpanel Secret Lines

http://www.rockpanel.co.uk/graphics/Rockpanel-UK_NEW/pdf/products/Productsheet_S\
ecretFix.pdf
or ... http://tinyurl.com/ctambu

In natural it ages and looks like wood.

Which seemed ideal until I got a quote ... it works out at £41 sq m excluding
fixings.
That would mean I would be close to £1500 to clad it !

Anybody else any other suggestions .... I had originally thought of log wrap
treated softwood t&g
Just trying to minimise maintenance.

Standard vinyl siding would look awful.

Western Red Cedar or Siberian Larch can be left untreated to weather naturally and will last 60 or so years, but still probably £4-6 per metre

A couple of weeks ago in the Architects Journal, there was an extension where the guy used 25mm WBP ply 8x4 sheets. It looked Ok if you like modernist design.

hi,there is pvc cladding available in different colours, never needed to be painted,go anywhere that sells things like conservatories, windows, available with grain looks like real wood.
