Terrorism condemned

Is Filly attempting to justify racism, ethnic cleansing and mass murder on historical grounds?

Nope, he was having a sensible debate with another poster about the origins and ancestry of 'The Holy Land'.

What's zionist about wanting to rid the world of murderous terrorists?
I don't think Zionists are trying to rid the world of Zionist murderous terrorists.
Zionists are trying to drive Palestinians out of their ancestral homeland.
And if tney won't leave they'll bomb them into oblivion. Especially the women and children who will be responsible for the future generations of Palestinians.

OK, but at the time of the Canaanites migration, it was no more Palestine than it was Israel.
Whats in a name?
This region has been continously inhabited by different cultures and religions for millenia.
If the Zionists can play the ancestry.com card, then other groups can as well.
People are people at the end of the day.
You can't draw an arbitrary line in history and say, it all started here.
The only lesson that needs to be learned from the Palestine /Israel conflict, is that, uncontrolled immigration can damage your country.

Yeah, those £10 poms really destroyed Australia.

Immigration into Israel is not uncontrooled, it's encouraged if you're a certain ethnicity.
And for another certain ethnicity that is already there, you're very much persuaded to leave.

Jews and Arabs can live together in peace, unfortunately that outcome is in the 'Hands of Philistines' (i worked with a bricklayer and born again Christian who used that term regularly to describe the Irish government and anyone else he felt threatened by.)
The Philistines in the Arab / Israeli conflict are the vested interests who don't give a **** about Arabs or Jews

That's precisely what both sides, and their supporters, do.

I agree with all of you. It would be mad to say one group has a greater claim than the other or one group was there first, Odds was maybe right that the Canaanites were the earliest settlers, but from them there is a shared ancestry between Jews and Arabs, and let's not forget there are plenty of Arabs who consider themselves Israelis.

There needs to be a negotiated settlement, Hamas won't negotiate. That's the problem.

Hamas could end this war tomorrow but it's not in there interest.

The initial immigration into the region that became Israel was illegal, when Lord Moyle a British diplomat tried to stop it, he was assassinated by Zionist terrorists (opps, shouldn't call them terrorists).
